Birth Control - Seasonal Combined Pill
Seasonal Combined pill - combines estrogen and progesterone like the combined pill but is taken for 12 weeks straight with the 13 th week off when menstruation takes place. Menstruation therefore only occurs 4 times a year, which may make it harder for a woman to notice if she is pregnant.
Some women experience more spotting and/or bleeding then when taking the regular combined pill and other side effects are similar to the combined pill. Like the combined pill, the seasonal pill is only available by prescription and must be taken regularly to be effective.
